Our services have supported over 35,000 clients nationwide and we are one of the UK’s largest independent counselling and mediation service providers. We provide expertise with employee assistance programmes, employee wellbeing, and services to combat absence management and stress in the workplace.
What We Offer
We offer short term counselling with a Solution Focused / CBT approach through our comprehensive network of counsellors throughout the UK. Our aim is to help find ways of assisting our clients to best manage / overcome their difficulties so that they are able to remain at or return to work. All Mind Matters counsellors are qualified, experienced and work within the BACP Workplace Competency Framework published in 2021.
Mind Matters team of therapists specialise in the provision of online video counselling via Zoom. Online therapy reduces the need to travel, time out of work for an appointment and reduced costs incurred by the employee to attend an appointment. Many clients prefer the convenience and comfort of having sessions from their own environment. Zoom calls also mean that employees can access counselling quickly, conveniently and even when they are working overseas.
Starting the process to make a referral to Mind Matters Counselling
- Consider NHS crisis intervention support if the employee has expressed suicidal idealisation as short term counselling might not be appropriate at this time / in these circumstances.
- Check what other services might be involved with the employee. If the employee is already accessing therapy then a referral should only be made once this alternative therapy has ended.
- Talk the referral through with the employee to help ease any concerns.
